The demand for suitable company software is constantly increasing, and this is reflected in the market: the International Data Corporation (IDC) estimates an annual growth rate of approx. 9 percent, while for cloud solutions, there is talk of an even higher, two-figure number.

However, the introduction of new software to a company is associated with a great deal of effort. For one thing, the software usually has to be adjusted to suit the individual needs of the company, and for another, the company itself also has to adapt to each new software: for example, interfaces with the existing software have to be constructed, existing data has to be synchronised, and staff have to be trained.

According to how individual the needs of a company are and how flexible the software is, it may be that customising alone is not enough. Depending on the software, the solution may involve pre-existing general modifications and additional functionalities, or even adjustments to the software that are specifically tailored to the company. Although the latter requires more effort, ultimately this also offers greater efficiency and data quality. And where even individual adjustments are not sufficient, the option of developing a completely new solution comes into consideration.
